- Nasdaq’s (NASDAQ:NDAQ) U.S. matched equity volume increased to 40.8B shares in August, up 3.0% from July and 6.4% from August 2023, the exchange operator and market data firm said on Wednesday.
- U.S. equity options volume of 293M contracts fell from 297M in July and 298M in last year’s August.
- European equity volume slipped to $63.1B from $65.0B in the previous month and increased from $56.8B in August 2023.
- European options and futures volume increased to 4.7M contracts in August from 4.3M contracts in July and fell from 4.9M in August 2023.
- Nasdaq stock rose 0.8% in Wednesday after-hours trading.
